E9: Nate Checketts of Rhone
Nate Checketts has always been a founder. As a teen, he started a boys’ sports camp out of his parents’ backyard. In college, he started a sports stadium ticketing and shopping app, Mangia Technologies, that he sold to the San Francisco 49ers after just four years. And back in 2014, he founded Rhone, the men’s performance lifestyle clothing brand, with his brother Ben and a few friends. In nearly a decade since its founding, Rhone has seen no shortage of success — you can find their pieces at the brand’s own stores across the U.S., in your local Equinox, and around the world in the Caribbean, England, Belgium, Japan, and Hong Kong. Shane sits down with Nate to discuss his lifelong entrepreneurial journey, running the London Marathon in a Rhone dress shirt, and building a brand on modern masculinity.
