Air vs. Wonderful: Built for every channel, not just the next Meta ad
Wonderful takes a brief to a Meta ad launch. Air is the creative library that powers the whole lifecycle: find approved work, edit it with production-grade AI, adapt it for every channel, and connect it to real ad performance. When your creative has to outlive a single campaign, the library has to be the system.
From one approved design to a thousand on-brand deliverables
Why choose Air over Wonderful
Wonderful is a sharp tool for one job: getting a lean DTC pod from brief to a launched Meta ad without leaving the app. But most brands run more than one ad platform, and most creative outlives the campaign it was made for. Air is the system of record underneath all of it: every asset, version, and approval kept in one visual workspace, then made reusable across every channel and tied back to how it actually performed. Wonderful ships the ad. Air makes the work findable, editable, on-brand, and measurable long after it ships.

Edit the asset itself
Wonderful's Nova is copy-first: scripts, shot lists, rough cuts, and static variations to brief and storyboard the work. Air's Canvas actually edits the pixels. With 50+ AI models in one place, teams remove and replace backgrounds, erase objects, generatively expand a frame, upscale to 8K, turn a still into a short video, edit text on an image without the source file, and run all of it in batch. The approved asset becomes the starting point for the next hundred, no round trip to another editor.
Store video and search inside it
Storing video is table stakes. Understanding isn’t. Air transcribes speech into time-synced, searchable text with speaker differentiation, applies AI smart tags for objects and scenes, generates summaries, and breaks long files into jumpable chapters. An editor can type the line a director said in a 45-minute review and land on the exact second instead of rewatching the whole cut.

See what actually worked, then make more of it
Wonderful's own dashboard says this part out loud: "This is not creative performance analytics, use your ad platforms for ROAS/CPA". Air's Ad Performance Analytics connects your creative library to real ad-platform data, so teams can see which assets earn attention and let that shape the next brief. The loop closes: make it, ship it, measure it, make more of what worked. (Ad Performance Analytics is available on Air's Enterprise plan.)
One library for every channel with unlimited seats
Wonderful's publishing is Meta-only, and its editor seats are metered ($500/mo for five, $50 for each one after). Brands run more than one ad platform, and creative teams grow. Every Air plan includes unlimited seats, with no editor meter at all, and the library feeds every channel (social, web, email, retail, print) through smart resize, crop, and batch adaptation. Adding a teammate never changes the bill.

Compare Air vs Wonderful
Both tools help lean teams move fast, but they own different parts of the creative lifecycle:
Air
Wonderful
What's actually live in Air today
Wonderful pitches itself as a "Google Drive / Air / Frame alternative" and scores Air "Partial" or "No" on several capabilities. A few of those are simply out of date, so here's the record (as of August 2026):
- "AI tags + natural-language search — Partial." Not partial. Air applies AI Smart Tags automatically on upload—objects, scenes, colors, faces—and Conversational Search lets anyone find assets by describing them in plain language across images, video, and documents. This is core Air, live on every plan.
- "Review status per asset + version stacking — Partial." Version stacking is native and automatic on every plan: each new iteration stacks on the original, with side-by-side compare and one-click revert. Review status is tracked per asset with custom-field statuses, kanban views, saved filters, and pinned or timestamped annotations. Both are fully live.
- "Auto-tag from task fields — Partial (manual)." Fair. Air auto-tags from what the AI sees in the file on upload; Wonderful inherits fields from the linked task. Different mechanisms. Wonderful's task-field inheritance is a neat trick for a Meta pod, and Air's content-based tagging is what keeps a large multichannel library searchable.
And two categories where Wonderful is right: Air does not publish ads to Meta, and it doesn't assemble briefs the way Nova does. If your entire workflow is brief-to-Meta-launch, that’s going to be a huge consideration point.

What Wonderful is great at
Wonderful is a well-designed home for a lean performance pod. It has a purpose-built briefing environment (a Notion-style editor, templates, and an AI brief/script writer) that Air doesn't try to be. It ships ads natively to Meta with dynamic naming, UTMs, and ASC templates. It carries a full project-management layer (kanban, calendar, WIP limits) that can let a small pod drop Asana. Plus its Shopify-seeded Brand Hub turns a brand guide and site copy into a tunable text brain for personas, tone, and banned phrases. For brief-to-launch on Meta, that's a tight, coherent loop.
Where a Meta-only workflow hits its limits
The limits show up the moment the work has to travel. Publishing is Meta-only, but brands run more than one ad platform, and creative also lives on web, email, retail, and organic. Wonderful stores video but doesn't understand it, so footage isn't searchable by what's said or shown. Its dashboard explicitly isn't performance analytics, so the "what worked?" question routes back out to your ad platforms.

Where Air fits
Air is the layer that makes creative reusable after it's approved. Every version, approval, and decision stays attached to the asset. Conversational search and Smart Tags make approved work findable by what's in it. Canvas and 50+ models turn that approved work into new on-brand variations without starting over. Ad Performance Analytics feeds real results back into the next brief. In short: find it, edit it, approve it, adapt it, measure it—one system of record for every channel.
Brand governance: two halves of the same problem
Wonderful's Brand Hub is a text brain: tone, personas, and banned phrases that guide copy and compliance checks. Air's Context Layer is the visual brain: logos, fonts, colors, and usage rules that power the actual edits inside Canvas, so every output stays on brand without a separate review round. They're different halves of brand governance. Air owns the half that touches the assets.

Who should use what
A lean DTC pod whose whole job is shipping Meta ads from brief to launch will feel at home in Wonderful. A brand or marketing org managing the full creative lifecycle across channels, like finding, editing, approving, adapting, and measuring, needs the library to be the system. That's Air.

Air vs Wonderful FAQs
Wonderful is an all-in-one workflow tool built to take a lean DTC team from brief to a launched Meta ad. Air is the creative library and system of record for the full lifecycle: finding, editing, approving, adapting, and measuring creative across every channel, so approved work stays reusable long after a single campaign.
It depends on the job. If your whole workflow is brief-to-Meta-launch, Wonderful covers that end to end. If you need approved creative to be searchable, editable, on-brand, and reusable across many channels (and connected to real performance data) Air is the system underneath all of it.
No. Air isn't an ad publisher. It's the creative library that feeds every channel and connects to your ad-platform performance data, so you can see which assets worked and make more of them. Teams pair Air with their ad platforms for the actual launch.
Yes—fully, on every plan. Air applies AI Smart Tags automatically on upload (objects, scenes, colors, faces) and Conversational Search lets anyone find assets by describing them in plain language across images, video, and documents.
Yes. Version stacking is native and automatic so every iteration stacks on the original with compare and revert. Review status lives on each asset through custom-field statuses, kanban views, saved filters, and pinned or timestamped comments.
Air transcribes speech into searchable, time-synced text with speaker differentiation, tags scenes and objects, generates summaries, and adds chapters, so you can search inside a video by what's said or shown. Wonderful stores video but doesn't make it searchable that way (at the time of writing).
Air is credits-based and includes unlimited seats on every plan, from Free through $900/mo Business to Enterprise. Wonderful is in open beta at Free / $500 / $1,000, with editor seats metered on paid plans (free reviewer and guest seats). Re-verify Wonderful's pricing before committing, as open-beta plans can change.
