The Bigger Picture
When we started Air, our mission was simple: help creative teams move faster by giving them a better home for their work. A place built for the reality of creative collaboration where files, feedback, and people could live together in flow, not buried in folders or lost in endless threads.
Over the years, that vision has grown. Air has become more than a home for assets. It’s become the workspace where creative work actually happens.
And today, that evolution takes its next step forward.
We’re excited to introduce Edit Mode, a new suite of AI-powered editing tools that brings creative polish directly into Air.
No more bouncing between apps. No more waiting on design tickets for simple fixes. No more pulling assets out of context to make them usable.
With Edit Mode, your assets can finally go from raw to campaign-ready. All in one place.
What You Can Do With In Edit Mode
Our editing features combine the power of AI with the familiarity of your existing Air workspace. The result is a faster, simpler way to polish assets without ever leaving your library.
Here’s what it can do today:
Background Removal – Make backgrounds transparent or swap them with clean branded backdrops.
Erase Element – Remove stray logos, props, or distractions to create cleaner, brand-safe visuals.
Crop – Instantly resize assets for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or banners.
Flip and rotate – Right, left, vertical, horizontal – orient your image as needed.
Generative Fill (coming soon) – Expand or fill in missing areas of an image
Upscale (coming soon) – Increase image resolution without losing quality.
Every edit saves as a new asset in Air, with the option to stack as a new version, keeping originals untouched and your library organized.
For Designers: Less Drudgery, More Creativity
If you’re a designer, you know the pain of small edits that break your focus. The constant pings to resize an image, remove a background, fix a crop. Edit mode gives you those hours back.
Now, the team can handle small changes themselves, freeing you to focus on the work that truly requires your eye and craft. It’s not a replacement for design, it’s a way to protect your time, reduce context switching, and keep your creative energy where it matters most.
For Marketers: Move From Idea to Launch Faster
Marketers live in motion. Campaigns don’t wait for creative bandwidth. But too often, a launch stalls because an asset isn’t quite ready. Edit mode puts that power directly in your hands.
Resize, reframe, or clean up visuals in seconds without waiting on a designer. Repurpose campaign assets for multiple channels instantly. Turn UGC into polished ads with a single click.
It’s creative independence that still keeps everything on-brand, because it all happens inside Air, where brand, feedback, and approvals already live.
Our Approach to AI: Intentional, Not Inevitable
AI is being bolted on everywhere right now and sometimes for the wrong reasons. At Air, we’ve been deliberate about how we build it in.
We believe AI should amplify creativity, not replace it. It should make the work behind the work faster, smoother, and more human — not strip it of that human touch.
That’s why we build AI that fits the workflow, not the other way around.
Every tool we ship is designed to eliminate friction (the handoffs, the exports, the lost versions), so teams can stay in flow and keep creating.
Our AI-powered editing tools aren’t about automating creativity. It’s about giving creative people more space to be creative.
The Bigger Picture
Edit mode is more than a feature launch. It’s a reflection of what Air is becoming: a creative operating system that helps teams not just store assets, but turn them into finished, ready-to-ship work.
We’re not chasing trends. We’re building for the reality of modern creative work: fast-moving, cross-functional, and deeply human.
This is the next step in that journey.
