A community idea that became a brand-defining moment

Bandit has always been more than an apparel brand—it’s a culture rooted in movement, creativity, and the pulse of New York City. The Bandit Grand Prix began the way many of their best ideas do: a spark from the community that quickly grew into something much bigger.

The goal was simple but ambitious—bridge the traditional road racing and NYC’s vibrant running scene. The team set out to create a race that felt true to the city: fast, gritty, expressive, and undeniably communal. What started as an experiment rapidly became a signature moment that united runners, creators, athletes, and fans all under one roof.

Creative content at full speed

The Grand Prix blended a unique indoor/outdoor race format with full-throttle lighting and sound design, creating an environment that elevated both racing and spectating into something theatrical. Everywhere you looked, something was happening—crews shooting, athletes warming up, editors grabbing clips on the fly, spectators reacting in real time.

It wasn’t just an event; it was a sensory experience. And with footage, photography, motion graphics, and brand elements pouring in across multiple teams, the challenge wasn’t inspiration—it was keeping the creative flow intact.

Bringing the Grand Prix into focus

To turn all that energy into a content the world could appreciate, Bandit used Air as their creative command center for every asset, edit, and approval. Instead of tool switching, downloads, and chasing down photos and videos, the team could move with the same pace and clarity as the event itself.

Air is faster than anything out there.

The film above reflects exactly what the Grand Prix has become: a cultural moment shaped by the creativity and momentum of the NYC running community.

And now, Bandit is already looking ahead. The Grand Prix is returning in 2026—bigger, louder, and faster, evolving the race experience once again as it cements its place as New York’s marquee cultural running event.
